Live edge shelf
Live edge oak shelf
The tree drew the edge.
A live edge is not imitated. It is the outside of the trunk itself, where the bark was. A machine can mill a wave that looks like it, but never this one.
What a live edge costs
A live edge costs 15 % more than a straight one: the material is more expensive, and the edge is followed and sanded by hand. Without oil and without mounting.

Two ways
Made to measure. You choose length and depth in the configurator, and add the live edge. Every edge is different: the tree decides the line, not you.
Select. If you want to know exactly which edge you get, choose the piece yourself. In Select every piece has its own photos.
Objects. Exceptional pieces with their own number, one of each. See Objects.

Questions
Can I choose what the edge looks like?
Not with a made-to-measure shelf: every live edge is different. If you want to know exactly which edge you get, choose a piece from Select; each one is shown with its own photos.
Why does a live edge cost more?
The material is more expensive than a straight panel, and the edge is followed and sanded by hand. Together that is 15 % on the price of the shelf.
Is it really oak?
Solid European oak, all the way through. No veneer, no MDF.
