The thicknesses

The same oak, five finishes.

We deliver untreated as standard. Want the board finished, then we do that in the workshop: four oil colours that soak into the wood, and one black lacquer.

Below are the supplier’s samples, all on oak. A screen is not wood: if you are torn between two, order a sample.

Oak sample, finished in Naturel — Naturel Osmo TopOil 3068, matt. Keeps the oak light, close to freshly sanded wood.

Oak sample, finished in Kleurloos — Kleurloos Osmo TopOil 3058, matt. No pigment — deepens the oak’s own colour.

Oak sample, finished in Acasia — Acasia Osmo TopOil 3061, satin matt. Warm golden brown; the grain stays readable.

Oak sample, finished in Grafiet — Grafiet Osmo TopOil 3039, satin matt. Cool grey with the grain still showing.

Oak sample, finished in Zwart — Zwart Skylt lacquer, black. Deep and even; up close the grain is still there.

Oiling starts at € 11 and follows the size: a long board takes more oil and more work. Torn between two colours? Ask us — wood takes on a different colour in your light than on a screen.

Mounting and delivery

Built to last.

Solid oak is strong, timeless and gains more character with the years. A scratch can be sanded away, a board can be finished again. It is not a product you replace after a few years.
