What you see, and what you don’t

The brackets sit inside the board, not under it. We mill the recesses into the back, to the millimetre where the brackets go. You screw the plates to the wall and slide the shelf on.

Then you adjust it: ±4 mm in height and ±4 mm sideways, until it hangs straight.

What’s included

  • Hettich Titan 1, € 9 per bracket 2 brackets up to 87 cm (€ 18), 3 from 88 cm (€ 27), 4 from 176 cm (€ 36) and 5 from 252 cm (€ 45). The configurator counts them for your size.
  • Screws and plugs for a solid wall They go in the package. For plasterboard or a hollow wall, use plugs made for that.
  • Always 4 cm thick Hettich requires at least 2.4 cm of board. Our 2.2 cm board is too thin for it, so a floating shelf from us is 4 cm.
  • What the bracket carries According to Hettich, 160 kg/m² at 100 × 20 cm, 100 kg/m² at 100 × 25 cm and 50 kg/m² at 100 × 30 cm. What your wall carries depends on your wall — here is why.

Questions

Can I hang a floating shelf myself?

Yes. We mill the recesses for the brackets. You drill the holes in the wall, screw the plates on and slide the shelf on. Then you level it.

How deep can a floating shelf be?

The configurator goes up to 100 cm. Hettich states the load capacity up to 30 cm deep (50 kg/m²). If you want to go deeper, ask us first and tell us your wall type.

Does it work on plasterboard?

With plugs for a hollow wall, which you provide. The plugs we include are for a solid wall.

Can a floating shelf also be black, or have a live edge?

Yes, both. Choose the finish or the edge in the configurator. Black · live edge.
