Which data and why

Order	Name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and the contents of your order. Needed to perform the contract: making, delivering and invoicing.
Contact form	First name, email address, your question and the dimensions you give. Optionally a photo of your space, if you send one yourself. We use this only to answer your question.
Accounting	The data on your invoice. We are legally required to keep it.
Account	Only your email address, and that lives in a cookie in your own browser — not in a file with us. We keep no user list and no passwords. What you see in your account is fetched from our payment provider at that moment.
Visitor counts	Which page was viewed how often and which website someone came from. No name, no IP address, no cookie — see below under What this website itself does. We use it to see which sizes and pages people look for.

We never ask for more than this. No account is needed to order, and we keep no profile of you.

On what grounds

• Performance of the contract — everything needed to make and deliver your order.
• Legal obligation — keeping invoices and accounts.
• Legitimate interest — answering a question you ask us yourself.

How long we keep it

Invoices and accounts	Ten years — as Belgian VAT law requires
Order data	For as long as the warranty period runs, deleted after that
Messages via the contact form	Until your question is dealt with, and at most two years — including any photo you send along
Visitor counts	Only as totals per day. What distinguished one visitor from another is erased the next day
Sign-in	Thirty days in your own browser, or until you sign out — nothing of it is kept with us

Who we share it with

Only with parties needed to carry out your order, and only with the data they need for that:

• the carrier that delivers your parcel;
• the payment provider that processes your payment;
• our accountant, for the invoices;
• the party that hosts our email and website;
• the service that sends the sign-in link to your mailbox.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

What this website itself does

• There are no analytics or advertising cookies on this site.
• We do count how often a page is viewed, but without recognising you. Nothing is placed on your device and your IP address is not kept: it goes through a one-way calculation together with a secret that changes every night, and what is left is a string of characters that cannot be linked to today tomorrow — not even by us. That is why no consent is needed for it.
• If your browser says you do not want to be tracked (Do Not Track), we do not count you.
• Your cart is kept locally in your own browser, not with us. We see nothing until you place an order.
• The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google sees your IP address in doing so. More about this in the cookie policy.

Your rights

You may always ask us to let you see your data, to have it corrected, deleted or transferred, and you may object to the processing. An email to info@mahowa.be is enough; we answer within a month.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Security

The website works over a secure connection and access to order data is limited to those who need it. Complete certainty does not exist on the internet, but we deliberately keep the amount of data we hold small.
